Jan Tore Horn

Jan Tore brings over a decade of experience at the intersection of offshore engineering, data science, and renewable energy. He earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from NTNU, where his research focused on the probabilistic design of offshore wind turbines.

Across his career he has worked as a data scientist and as a senior data engineer, developing machine learning models for wind and noise prediction — combining rigorous engineering with applied data science.

At Vind AI, he heads up technology and innovation, making full use of his academic and industry background in ocean engineering, statistics, and digital infrastructure.
