Turbine updates: new models, more flexibility

  • Nordex and Siemens Gamesa turbine models have been added to your default components for onshore and hybrid projects, complete with detailed noise data and up to 18 operating modes.
  • Multiple older turbine models from various manufacturers are added for your convenience
  • Export and import any turbine model from several supported file formats (.json, .tbn, .wtg), enabling building a library and sharing turbines more easily. 
  • For each turbine, switch which operational mode counts as the "standard" one.
  • Upload multiple power/thrust or sound reduction curves from a single file, using the same streamlined format already available for solar and wind.
  • Input octave-band noise data for your turbines instead of relying solely on a single total dBA value — added after hearing directly from customers navigating stricter regulatory demands.

Curtailments: Upload straight from Excel 

If you already track curtailment schedules in a spreadsheet, you can now upload them directly into Vind AI instead of re-entering them by hand. It's a small change that saves time on projects with complex or pre-defined curtailment strategies, so you can get to analysis sooner.

Visualisation: Solar and battery, fully in view 

Your solar panels and batteries are now visible in View Park, Photomontage, and in the 3D view of the map. Whether you're preparing stakeholder materials or reviewing a hybrid layout internally, you get one complete, realistic picture of the whole project, not just the wind side of it.

Wind data uploads: Choose your own coordinate system 

When uploading .asc wind data files, you can now specify which coordinate system the file uses, rather than us assuming WGS84 by default. It's a small change, but it removes a source of silent error: your data is transformed correctly from the start, so your wind resource assessments are built on properly georeferenced input every time.
