Downing Renewable Developments Sweden scales up its digital tools in partnership with Vind AI

Downing Renewable Developments (DRD) Sweden has selected digital platform Vind AI to strengthen the development of its onshore wind projects in Sweden.
DRD Sweden, a renewable energy developer set up by UK-based investment manager Downing, has selected Vind AI as a digital partner to strengthen the development of its onshore wind projects in Sweden. Vind AI’s digital platform integrates data, advanced algorithms, analytical capabilities, and collaboration tools to significantly accelerate wind farm development. The partnership marks Vind AI’s growing presence in the Swedish renewables market and supports DRD’s expansion across Northern Europe.
DRD is now using Vind AI’s digital platform to transform its wind project assessment and design process as the developer targets a larger and more diversified renewable energy portfolio in Sweden across wind, solar and battery storage.
By accessing all the wind project data in a single platform and using Vind AI’s advanced optimisation tools, DRD Sweden’s development team has already verified improvements in how quickly they can develop high-quality wind projects, through identifying layout interactions and production estimates significantly faster.

“As a small team, having all the data and analysis tools in one platform helps us make better decisions, quicker. That’s essential to grow our renewable energy portfolio across Sweden and the Nordics with the high quality and speed we are targeting."
Johannes Malmström, Head of Development at Downing Renewable Developments Sweden
“Downing’s approach to onshore wind development is ambitious and highly data-driven,” said Helene Bøhler, CEO and Co-founder, at Vind AI. “How they consider the whole spectrum of renewable energy opportunities when developing their project pipeline is really exciting. We’re proud to support Downing Renewable Developments Sweden in using the most advanced digital tools to create a competitive pipeline of projects in Sweden.”
Helene Bøhler, CEO and Co-founder, at Vind AI
The collaboration reflects both companies shared commitment to accelerating the transition to Net Zero.
