Nordr Energi, the Norwegian renewable energy developer previously known as Source Galileo Norge, is returning to Vind AI to extend its use of the platform. Having previously used Vind AI for offshore wind, Nordrenergi now plans to use it to model projects combining renewable energy production with battery energy storage systems (BESS), covering both offshore and onshore renewables as well as standalone BESS applications — building on its long-term relationship with Vind AI.

The return is notable since, despite a rebrand and change of ownership, Nordr Energi chose to bring Vind AI back into its workflow rather than start fresh with a new platform — a sign of the kind of long-term relationship Vind AI continues to build with developers as their businesses evolve.

Headquartered in Haugesund, Norway, Nordr Energi, formerly Source Galileo Norge, is a developer and owner of renewable energy systems. The company is now part of Unitech Energy Group, which designs and manufactures cables and connectors for the oil & gas and renewables industries, with offices in Bergen, Perth and Houston. Nordrenergi's own focus is on developing energy system projects across offshore and onshore renewables in combination with battery energy storage (BESS), as well as standalone BESS applications.
