New Thema–Vind AI partnership integrates market data for smarter wind project planning
Oslo, 19th August 2025 — Thema’s electricity price projections for Europe are now featured directly within Vind AI, a leading digital platform for wind project planning and design. By bringing together data, advanced algorithms, analysis and collaboration tools, Vind AI aims to transform how wind developers work, with users ranging from Aker Solutions, Eviny and Hafslund to international renewable energy companies like Statkraft, EnBW, RWE, and TotalEnergies.
Under the new partnership with Vind AI, Thema has become a data partner, contributing energy market data to the Vind AI platform. The addition further improves the financial modelling functionality within Vind AI, making it easy for users across Europe to strengthen their economic evaluations.
Industry association WindEurope estimates that the wind industry already contributes EUR52bn to Europe’s GDP annually and employs nearly 400,000 people. The workforce in the wind industry is expected to grow by 50% in the next five years, as WindEurope expects 458 GW of installed wind power capacity across Europe by 2030, up from 258 GW currently installed. Reaching these targets requires speeding up planning, analysis, design and construction.
“Our vision is to use the most advanced digital tools to make it simpler and more efficient to design quality wind parks anywhere in the world,” says Helene Bøhler, CEO of Vind AI. “Supporting faster, accurate financial analysis of projects is an essential aspect of that.”

The collaboration reflects a broader trend in the industry. The International Energy Agency (IEA) and the UN Environment Programme Copenhagen Climate Centre (UNEPCCC) have both highlighted the potential of digital tools and high-quality data to accelerate the transition to renewable energy. As markets move in this direction, Vind AI and Thema aim to give developers the insights they need to plan and design projects more effectively.
“Wind energy projects represent substantial, long-term financial commitments, and making sound investment decisions requires access to the reliable and forward-looking market data,” says Dr. Arndt von Schemde, Partner at THEMA. “By integrating our market price projections directly into Vind AI—a platform that has gained increasing interest and traction among developers—we’re making it easier for users to access the insights they need when evaluating long-term wind investments.”
